Excellent list and as I mentioned in the comments:
I’m so happy to see this! I’ve been explaining to associates for years that Fireworks, for the most part, is so much more useful than Photoshop (by this I mean for designs that combine bitmap and vector elements). Others who are very experienced with both Photoshop AND Fireworks have always concurred as we know when to use each.
I’ve been using Photoshop since 2.5.1 and certainly understand its depth, but Fireworks obliterates Photoshop and Illustrator for SO many tasks that it makes me really laugh when I see people dedicating so much time to doing the same things that could be done in a fraction of the time in Fireworks. Thanks so much for sharing!
And yes, I’ve known about 90% of these plugins and use them myself. Bravo for compiling the list!
By the way, I’d love to see Adobe get *smart* and integrate Photshop and Illustrator INTO Fireworks or at least have all three apps living under one unified roof with a selectable user interface and/or command set so that you could flip between them if you’re more familiar with one or the other and then also we’d have the very powerful bitmap editing of Photoshop and the very powerful vector illustrating of Illustrator merged at the perfect intersection of Fireworks.
