What memories. This is a view of the entrance to the apartment complex in which I lived during the fall and holiday season of 1997 as well as the first month or two of 1998, if I recall correctly. Very good work Hao. I’d like to see something for some cross pollination now regarding keeping the two services in sync: Export your Tumblr blog to WordPress « Web 0.2 – Hao Chen. I’ve fiddled with Tumblr a little, but ended up giving in to WordPress, but would not mind helping some friends out who seem to appreciate Tumblr a bit more for it’s quick posts, but would like to host some more powerful features from WordPress.  Seems to be a good mix of tech.

We really need to add our voices to this initiative. It is being supported by Google and will benefit all of us across the nation, particularly in Appalachia and sparsely populated areas. It will also add competition to the existing broadband providers, which will continue to drive technology. We’ve needed this for years and it makes perfect sense to utilize the unused television channel bandwidth that is so abundant, particularly in the areas that need it the most!

Hear this Google and others in the initiative: Ohio has over $200M (I believe around $280M) to invest towards bringing ubiquitous high speed Internet service to citizens across the state. This money could help to bring this to full fruition. The governor is from southern Ohio and I could help put you before key individuals to help push this along if you contact me.

• Hmm, was hoping to get the quotes together, but too much to do to get ready for Jonathan’s surgery bright and early in the AM. #
• Going in to have Jonathan’s tonsils & adenoids removed this morning. Pls remember him in your prayers. #
• On the rd to Columbus. Wow, my blog entry made it to TC! #
• Pleasant drive to the nuyi #
• Jonathan just pressed “Send” on my iPhone… LOL #
• Heart breaking after carrying him to the OR. Had to hand him over to the surgery assistant. #
• I now know just a little bit what Heavenly Father felt when the Savior cried in abandon as He suffered through the atonement. Just a little. #
• Jonninator is done! Surgeon said HUGE adenoid w/ tissue growing into back of nose. He told us he wished he could have taken a photo! #
• He’s in post anasthesia recovery now. Waiting anxiously to hold him again. #
• Apology, tweets updated late throgh the surgery. Now have access. #
• Finally in his bedroom where we’ll stay for the night. Took a while for him to settle down. #
• He’s glued to me right now, watching Elmo; Nemo (the movie) was what helped settle him down earlier. #
• Poor baby, I’m sure he didn’t fully understand what happened. I’m so grateful that all went well and that he’s settling down. #
• Wow, the nurse had to “sign with her blood” to borrow Nemo from Recovery. Unreal, can’t they understand it’s just about comforting a child? #

• Baby is terrified for me to leave. Holding my arm under his head while he sleeps. He’s such a sweet heart. #

• Okay, Barney is working. In my lap and enjoying the show. Really abhors it when a nurse comes in. Goes crazy. #
• Amazing, the new tonsillectomy & adenoidectomy is performed w/ an instrument that kind of cauterizes (low temp) & is a bloodless surgery. #
• What’s truly amazing is the near zero recovery time: 2 hrs after surgery he was eating solid foods, albeit soft, they are regular vs. ice. #
• He’s eating up mashed potatoes & gravy, pizza casserole & rolls from the cafeteria right now and loving it! Dancing to singing Barney. #
