Boy, I became ill when I saw this. One of the comments suggests that we may not see this dearly needed feature. I frankly would rather not live without it (figuratively speaking…).

ZFS is finally working right under FreeBSD as I had better success with it on FBSD than Solaris simply due to some hardware on which I wished to run it as well as netatalk running *much* better (or perhaps I should say more easily) on FBSD.

I’m getting very close to needing zpool or raidz expansion very soon vs adding vdevs and playing games. This would make things much more clean and work as they should for sure. Plus we need to be able to s

I have a close friend that has lived with hemophilia for his entire life and it is such a difficult illness. I certainly hope that more can be done to cure this as well as alleviate the ensuing difficulties. I just wanted to share some news links for this friend and when he gets his website up I’ll link on into it.

Something I just learned from one of John’s emails this afternoon:

“About 70 calories of healthy fat just before you eat — that’s 6 walnuts, 12 almonds, or 20 peanuts — can trick you into thinking you’re full. Eating good fats stimulates the production of cholecystokinin (CCK), a hormone that tells your brain you’ve had enough to eat and then keeps you feeling full by slowing the emptying of your stomach. So when you sit down for a meal, you’ll eat for pleasure, not for hunger, and you’ll be likely to eat less.”

I have a few friends who suffer from bipolar disorders and I happened across this yesterday. Thought I’d share as it seems interesting (confession: I’ve not reviewed them entirely, but thought there may be some truth to glean from them).

I’m particularly referring to the “How To Heal Bipolar Mania” videos.

Anyone have any input on things like this? I’d certainly like to help out as it seems like this is becoming more common than perhaps it should be.

I’ve really thought, personally, what Huckabee is doing lately is extremely poor choice and it appears that Bill Donahue of the Catholic League concurs:

“Because there’s a pattern here,” he added. “Every other word out of [Huckabee's] mouth is that ‘I’m Christian.’ He’s calling into question Romney’s Mormonism…let people talk about there faith, but don’t sell it on your sleeve.”

We as Latter-day Saints are as much Christians as anyone else in this world and it makes me sick to hear folks saying otherwise. The name of the Church is not “Mormon,” but the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! It is unfortunate that mister Huckabee lacks true understanding and resorts to attacks as such that denigrate his own values.
